Income Report – October, 2021
Wait, it is November?!?! Where did October go? With only two months left of 2021, 2022 is knocking at our doors. There is so much I want to get done in these last two months. I have a few goals left that need to be checked off. My overall theme for these last two months is to focus and be consistent. I want to go into 2022 with a solid foundation of new habits that will make 2022 my most productive ever.
What do you do you plan on working on these last two months?
What We Managed to Accomplish in September!
- We published several awesome guest posts, you should check them out!
- Andrew continues to crush it on our affiliate website.
- Adam started a new 9-5 job that took up some time.
- We to share tons of cool finance jokes, infographics, and quotes on social media. Check out our Instagram!
Income For October
October was our Sixth month in a row with over $500 of income! We continue to push through some personal life stuff and other projects. Even with this lack of attention to Wallet Squirrel, we have still managed to bring in some good income. Right now we are putting this income to work for us by reinvesting back into Wallet Squirrel and our affiliate website. This reinvestment is intended to help us grow the two websites.
These are all pretty incredible income generators and we’ve mentioned them before on the blog.
- Ezoic – we make money when people see or click (extra money) on website banner ads
- Affiliate Marketing – we earn a commission if someone buys a product through a link on your website
- Blue Host Affiliate – an affiliate link for website hosting we use.
- Online Surveys – we earn money from participating in online surveys like Swagbucks.
- Stock Photography – we earn money whenever one of our photos sells online.
- Sponsored Link – we are paid to add a link to companies we rigorously review and like.
- Interest Checking/Saving Account – we earn interest on the money in our checking and savings accounts.
- Cash Back Credit Card – we earn extra money via 2% cashback from using our credit card.
- Seeking Alpha – we earn recurring ad revenue from SeekingAlpha.com for some articles we wrote years ago.
- Lending Club – we earn interest from peer-to-peer lending.
- Dividends – we earn dividends from the stocks we own.
Monthly Expenses for Wallet Squirrel
The expression “It takes money to make money” is actually pretty accurate. As we learn new skills, we find new software and processes that help us make more money. However, they come with a cost for their convenience. Here is where our money went in July.
Monthly Expenses – $99 Total
- Bluehost[$36] – Hosting Service
- Sitelock [$8] – Extra security for our Bluehost servers
- Domain [$2] – So we can keep the domain WalletSquirrel.com
- Bloom [$7] – Our email forms, but we’ll likely be getting rid of this soon.
- Grammarly [$12] – We can’t live without this amazing grammar tool
- The Noun Project [$4] – The best site for icons for our infographics.
- Sendible [$30] – A social media scheduling platform. Adam seems to really enjoy it!
Everything leftover has been invested in my dividend portfolio.
What’s Next For November
Andrew continues to work on our affiliate website. This site has a lot of potential to grow into something special. Adam will continue to work on Wallet Squirrel by creating new content and building content. Even though we have not officially talked about it but I think we are going to take the divide and concur approach over the next two months. Maybe we should turn it into a little competition for the remainder of 2021 to see which site gets the most views.
We will see what Andrew says when he reads this article. 🙂
Andrew has given Adam two more months to make some special out of our Instagram and other social media accounts. That is going to be a mountain to climb!
We wish you the best!
Cheers!
