I knew this day would come, a sub $70 month. It’s OK though, I’ve been trying some different stuff. I’ve started living on a budget and with less expenses, comes less cashback from my credit card. I do love making extra on my cashback card, but it’s still worth more saving. I’m not a frugal kind of guy, but I can save a few nights not going out to eat.

Additionally, my Halloween Decoration Website isn’t in season, so less money. That’s understandable. Luckily I did make some in dividends this month a whopping ($4.27), pretty cool. Plus Wallet Squirrel made ($0.66) Wahoo!

In January, I have received $48.17 in additional income.

Additional Income

January, 2016

$48.17

Interest Checking

$0.22

Interest Saving

$2.85

Cash Back Credit Card

$31.42

Wallet Squirrel Website (Adsense)

$0.66

Halloween Decorations Website

$8.75

Dividends

$4.27

Realty Income Corporation (O)

$1.15

The Walt Disney Company (DIS)

$1.42

Digital Realty Trust (DLR)

$1.70

The coolest part is no matter the season, I will always make dividends and with my latest purchase of “O” Realty Income, my monthly dividends will be at least $4.76, that’s already more than I made this month.

Next Month
I am hoping to do a couple things next month to increase my additional income.

  1. I am planning on commenting on a lot more financial blogs this upcoming month, this will provide me some great info from different post and maybe some SEO in return.
  2. I plan to write some new content for my Halloween Decoration Website hoping to increase my SEO
  3. Lastly and always, I will contribute more to my dividend fund.

You hit the nail on the head… No matter what happens with your web site income or other endeavors, your dividend income will continue to roll in. You have to remember that a sub $70 month or small dividend income does not matter as much as the fact that you simply started on this long journey. Just keep at it, year after year and you’ll witness the growth in your passive income and look back at these “small” passive income days with fondness and see how far you have come. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks DivHut! It seems like slow and steady will win the race. It’s still a little low right now, I’m looking to see what I can do to increase the principal. Maybe drive an Uber?

That’s a great month Wallet! The website income will come as you continue to comment, write, and become more active in the community. It takes some time, but the fruits are definitely worth the labor. This is my first time visiting and I really like the layout of the site. Plus, it is cool that you run multiple websites and manage two completely different products. It is always a good idea to diversify our income streams so you aren’t dependent on any one source.

Keep up the great work and I look forward to getting to know you through our interactions. Take care.

    Hey bud!

On top of commenting on other blogs I would recommend you start building your social media accounts as well. Social Media is bringing me good amounts of traffic to my blog.

Im not making a killing as far as income on my blog but I did beat my record for most amount of money made from it this past month and that was super exciting for me.

Thanks Dividend Diplomats! You seem to have built up a great community. I do love my affiliate site and plan to expand on it in the future. Plus now with the new sales tax for Colorado I can now use amazon affiliate for a new niche website and maybe even go through each step on this blog on how to set up a niche website. I’m stoked, but even more stoked for you visiting here! Have a great day!

Social Media is a great idea. I’m hesitant to do every social media at once, do you have one recommend? I’m thinking of starting out with Facebook, then building from there.

    WS,

This is my first time visiting your website and I must say, it is truly wonderful. I can certainly relate to you struggle of having to budget, especially since I enjoy eating out frequently. It’s interesting that you mentioned you have a halloween website, as that is one of my favorite holidays. What is the name of the website?

    Thanks Dividend Clockwork,

I love going out so saving on food is rough. However I’m still amazed how much I’ve saved by only going out with friends on the weekends.

I’m going to write an article coming up on niche websites and will share more detail then. Thanks for visiting!
